Waste Case #3

Liberal arts Education gives too much unnecessary stress to students. Irrelevant courses that more times than not, have much workload, and when combined with other classes, do not allow for enough time to complete tasks by the deadline. Late nights, missed classes, and and not doing work up to par are a result of this. Lack of sleep and mobility, lack of food or increase of "junk" foods, and the most important of all stress are caused by sitting around and doing all this work. Like I said before, many of the curriculum that we receive in these classes we will never use again. So ask yourself is the stress worth it?

  1. Liberal arts educations do seem to have some negative aspects. Imagine if a child had a passion and focused on that passion from a young age. They would be so educated in that realm that they would be a true professional. This would create an American work force that has the ability to excel in specialization. But, on the other hand, a liberal arts education gives students the ability to become well rounded in a variety of subjects. They can they focus on their major. But, the question is, What happens to the two years of specialization they lose? Does this mean they are less prepared for the workforce?

  2. I agree... I cannot understand why there are so many irrelevant courses in the core curriculum... What will I ever do with religion and theology?... I know enough about religion already...
